Initiation to agile methods : SCRUM

Training objective

What is the Agile development method ? What is the SCRUM methodology? In what way is it particularly useful for project management ? What is its added value compared to traditional methods ? How can it be implemented ? The training will bring you all of these answers and will give you the initial elements necessary to start a project using the SCRUM methodology or to bring Agility to your existing projects.

Training program

This training aims to present the Agile approach and more specifically the SCRUM methodology, its advantages and its modes of application.

1. Introduction and general presentation
   • Presentation of the keywords and the definition of Agility
   • Mapping of the SCRUM process and presentation of the phases
   • Comparison with "classical" methodologies and the benefits of Agility
2. The fundamentals of the SCRUM methodology
   • The roles :
     • Product owner, SCRUM master and SCRUM team
     • Understanding the mission of each role within the process
   • Sprints :
     • Organization and course of a sprint
     • Schedule meetings and follow actions during each iteration
   • Backlogs :
     • Identify and define your needs
     • Write stories and prioritize future developments
3. Declination of the implementation of the SCRUM methodology on a project
   • Summary of actions to be implemented in advance to organize your project according to SCRUM
4. It's up to you - Practical exercise
   • Presentation of a simple project and implementation of SCRUM principles. At each stage, play a SCRUM role and organize your project to ensure its success.
5. Knowledge test
   • Pass the 30 questions test to check your knowledge
